Will told me he felt his humor was misunderstood,

I'm partly to blame for that I think.. I ever so slightly busted his balls on another thread and I think he took it like I was being serious or something, as if I was offended by his comments (which I wasn't) Even if someone gets horribly offended, it's not the end of the world. Biedny does it to me almost every show.

So rather than people not understanding his humor, I think he was extra worried about not offending or pissing people off. I tried to be all civil and courteous when I first came here, now I just don't care.

I'm sure he'll be back eventually.

I understood his humor fine, but I did think it was sometimes out of place on forum that seems devoted to a more intelligent exchange of ideas. On the flip side, I think he used his humor to insulate himself from some difficult or painful experiences, and in that I think he could hardly be blamed. He got on my nerves once, but then I decided that he was pretty smart and deserved some leeway.

I hope he comes back too.

Lordy me! I go away from the boards for one whole day and somebody else got banned. Usually you don't get kicked off until 20 pages of a keyboard-clickin' dogfight have stacked up. What did I miss?

Dunno - it wasn't me, I've not banned anyone...yet

I'm afraid banning is going to get so frequent that I am going to return from vacation and David will have inadvertently banned Gene!

It might seem like a lot of people are getting banned, but the reality is that 'we' (not me) have only banned 14 people in 12 months.

My sense of humour is as bad as anyone elses, and probably a bit worse in some respects ... but I always had the feeling that Will had the same sort of sense of humour that David Brent had in 'The Office' ... or was that just me ?

p.s. anyone who uses 'jest' or 'jape' in my mind has no real sense of humour, anyway ... whatever that might be

I checked. Will asked them to ban him. He's on a paranormal chat diet and it's the only way he can break the addiction cycle.
