I'll be curious to see the proof they provide to show that the American government has been lying about this.
It should be interesting.
You are really are a hoot sometimes man! Why on earth would the American government tell the truth about such a thing, if it has indeed happened? It would be extremely unwise for them to do so don't you think?
At any rate there is the promise of declassified documents and you have the testimony of various missile launch officers.
From the history of reports that have been out there on UAP/UFO at missile sites over the years I'd prone to think that there is something to it. What they actually are and what their real purposes might be are a total mystery though.
Very good timing, especially with Leslie Kean's book up at #30 on the New York times list and still climbing.
'Meeting open to Congressional staff only' ?... newly de-classified documentation is that good ?
Is Bill Deny the science guy going to sneak in LOL

Sept 27th is on my calendar
Bill Nye is awesome. He's done so much to promote science to children which I think is important in today's society.
Too bad Bill doesn't stop acting like a child when it comes to ufos.
From what I gathered, all Nye was saying is that it's quite a leap to go from saying it's something that we don't understand to saying it's an alien visitor.
I think this is a very important point that seems to escape many people. It may actually be just a case of semantics with some folks. I've found over the years that when you're talking to someone about religion for example, you have to agree to the definition of certain terms up front or a great deal of confusion can result. For example when a Mormon talks about Jesus Christ he is talking about an entirely different character than a Southern Baptist does when he mentions Jesus Christ.
Generally speaking I think though when people say "alien" they mean intelligent beings from another planet. I think "alien" could be used to mean a product of something "other than" known human civilization. Its origins, off planet or on, this dimension or another, being immaterial. What would you label artifacts of an intrusion into our perceived reality by a control mechanism from another plane of existence?
As far identifying something as "alien", I've never understood how someone other than a person like Gordon Cooper or Ben Rich could say, "We don't have anything that can fly like that." or the equivalent statement in regards to a UFO/UAP. The fact of the matter is the average Joe doesn't know what is in development or even actually deployed so how can they make such a statement? You can only say that you don't know of anything that we have that can fly like that.
The only real safe thing to say in my opinion is that something strange is going on in regard to 5 to 10% of UFO/UAP reports and we don't know what it is. When a person denies that there is anything strange going on at all I don't think they're being intellectually honest, but I guess you could give them the benefit of the doubt and just say they're mistaken.
Reality Uncovered did not prove anything. I think RU is playing armchair quarterback again.
Reality Uncovered recently offered an interesting counter-perspective on this incident. I'm not sure who to believe, but it's nice to see different angles.
Actually, the last time I saw him on Larry King with the same people involved in this press conference, it wasn't him that was acting like a child. I remember the Dr. Jacobs was the one acting like a jerk. Bill was cool, calm, and collected. However, it is a matter of perception. Those that agree with Hastings will think he is right, those that agree with Bill Nye with think his opinion is valid.
From what I gathered, all Nye was saying is that it's quite a leap to go from saying it's something that we don't understand to saying it's an alien visitor. The rebuttal was that they aren't saying it's aliens, but we (humans) didn't have technology like that. All Nye wanted to know was, "What's your conclusion?" If it isn't one of ours (humans) then by definition it is alien, no?
I don't think I saw that show. I'm not a fan of Jacobs either.
It was pretty brutal and embarrassing seeing four men snicker at Bill Nye. The most repulsive thing that Jacobs said was something along the lines of "Bill, you gonna use some baking soda to do an experiment," or something like that. Bill took it all in stride knowing that he was not the one looking foolish.
If they would have argued the point with a little more integrity, it would have been easier to watch. They all just came off so defensive.
Oh, I DID see that. I don't recall Jacobs being on though.
Wasn't it Bill that brought a little grey (colored green) toy on? Or was that Shermer?
