Bush is no longer president, so this is ancient history. And there's no racial stuff there since he is, of course, a rich white man.

Of course he is no longer president, but that is not what your comment was about. There can't be a Conservative AND Democratic president at the same time so to put your comment into perspective we need to visit previous admins. They are death threats. Come on. I didn't even post signs from Anarchist signs that were ultra violent and obviously liberal leaning. How about the Underground Weather types of protesters?

If we are going to make this about RACE BATING then can we include the left leaning racist La Raza protest signs? How about the left leaning racist FREE MUMIA protest signs? The left leaning racist Black Panthers signs?

My point is there are fringe groups in all poltical ideologies. You made a very blanket statement that happened to be very incorrect IMO.

Totally correct. Antiwar protests are common with presidents of both parties.

With the tea party, while I agree most are well meaning, there are people in control and others in these movements that have agendas that aren't so nice. There is plenty of material on that available online.

But you are picking out assholes and racists to represent a group. As I said before, I was part of the start of the Tea Party before it jumped the shark. Most of those protesters are Libertarians, not racist rednecks.

I have no problem with a Libertarian. I have problems with people who are too unsophisticated to realize what they are involved in and get caught up in something they can't possibly understand.

The media spin by the left-wing of the media spins this or flatout ignores this. Instead a bunch of bombastic stories using race bating try to blanket the whole concept. Now I am aware of the Freedom Works types that use the concept to spread their bullshit about our pre-emptive wars of aggression being part of this concept, but they are liars no different then the left media that also and lies about reality.

Naturally. Peaceful protests by persons with legitimate grievances are ratings POISON.

Speaking of which, not knowing the context of the protest I'm confused as to why the last image is mixed in with the "Kill Bush" signs. Near as I can figure it's making the statement that US foreign policy essentially being piracy, a complaint that in certain cases is valid.

Its all a comedy of errors. Not the diabolical plan of an evil monocled balding man with persian cat in his lap. Seriously does this look like an evil geneous hell bent on world domination?

David Lesar Halliburton CEO

I mean he went to the University of Wisconsin and became a CPA and worked for the infamous Arthur Anderson corporation. He wasn't even in a secret society unless you call being a Vikings fan a secret society! Now, has Halliburton done some stupid shit... yes, they have. (contaminating drinking water from well hydraulic fluid leaks and not reporting it) But, I would stop considerably short of saying that they would engineer the worst ecological disaster in recorded history so that they could get the cleanup business. It just doesn't pass the "Say it out loud" test. Now corner cutting to say money... sure I buy that. But now we are in the realm of preventable accident. That is way different than engineering some grand conspiratorial masterplan.

This is nothing more than a colossal blunder of epic proportions. The triumvirate of blame is only logical. given that each party will no doubt enter court trying ti minimize the amount of money they have to provide towards the cleanup effort. BP is facing some serious losses and Deepwater will need to pay their portions plus whatever lawsuit settlements for the 11 victims will cost. This is all just very scared corporate entities jockeying for pre-hearing position.

I just don't see anything that can be pointed to for the grand conspiracy to be true. Not to say there aren't mini conspiracies. Like the BP CEO downplaying everything to try and save stock prices. Halliburton is beholden to stock holders and the board and officers get bonuses on stock performance and profit margin. Just the same as BP and Deepwater. No real secret why corner cutting and safety take a backseat to profitability. Thats just western society. Of course that itself may be the grandest conspiracy of them all.

But you are picking out assholes and racists to represent a group.

That's the basis of what we call prejudice -- judging a group based on the actions of a few.

Let's face it... It's impossible to get through to those with a deeply ingrained ideology. La Razza (The Race) was a good example. The principal of one of their charter schools once remarked, "We don’t want to drink from a White water fountain...We don’t need a White water fountain…ultimately the White way, the American way, the neo liberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction."

That substantial group was not mentioned -- conveniently, because it doesn't fit the agenda. And if white people who disagree with Obama on the issues (and we are facing many) are racists, then aren't blacks who disagreed with Bush also racists? No. And it's not the case for most of those who disagree with Obama's politics. He had the most liberal voting record in the Senate and those opposed to his policies would oppose them no matter what his skin color was.

It all gets down to what Stan says, "Don't bother me with the facts, my mind is made up".

The issue is whether a substantial amount of the people speaking for a group manage to convey a questionable attitude, questionable logic and aberrant behavior. We can start with Sarah Palin and move onward.

A large majority of tea party members surveyed some weeks back, for example, are birthers. They don't believe Obama was born in the U.S., even though his birth certificate, with the official imprint, has been posted online for quite a while. They also believed in death panels during the worst parts of the health care debate.

How do you take such people seriously when they can't even view some basic issues with clear eyes?

Yes, they can hate Obama all they want and disagree with his policies (even liberals do that), but when you get some of this crazy stuff in there, it destroys their credibility.

Oooh an official imprint... well then... who could question that?!? LMAO... Why would he seal his records then?

His birth records are delivered in the same fashion as anyone else in that state. His birth was even announced in a newspaper back in 1961. So was that a secret plot carved by people in the 1960s who knew that this particular male child would be elected president in 2008? This is beyond absurd! Few paranormal claims are as nutty.

Yup, it is pretty sad and pathetic to question things that do not add up.

Things are rarely as they seem. I recall an interview with a Doctor involved with UFO research and the disclosure project, it was on a very respected paranormal podcast and the hosts gushed all over this guy...

“Never let a serious crisis go to waste.. What I mean by that is, it’s a good opportunity to do things you couldn’t do before”. ~ Rahm Emanuel

As a native of a Gulf Coast State I don't care about conspiracy. they (oil, politicans, whatever)have ruined one of the most beautiful places on earth. If James Fox or the ghost of Ted Kennedy or the shade of Plato can bring attention to it then it's alright with me. I'm mad as hell and I just want transparency for the media and the world to see what is going on. NO, I don't think Mr. Fox is in danger or there is a major conspiracy. However, if he can get voices heard then more power to him. We need activist. We need to stop treating politicans like rock stars and political parties like the voice of God. I'm rambling but I feel like a part of my heritage has been damaged (maybe for my lifetime)and it pisses me off.

So you don't think Obama was born in the United States?

I don't know for sure. There is evidence to suggest otherwise. If there is any doubt, which there is, then it needs to be fully investigated, it hasn't.
It is not even proven that he is black. If his father was half black and half arabic, and his mother was white, then as I understand it, he would not be legally black.

With everything you post, you start sounding nuttier and nuttier... I'm just going to assume you're trying to be funny or something.
If you're not just being funny, please please please point me to this evidence, because I would think that the guy's birth certificate was evidence enough.

I don't care or look into the "birth" issue at all. It's a waste of time and divisive. Not my thing.

A few things. I think it is a strawman to post the pic of the Halliburton CEO and to suggest he doesn't look "evil" IMO. While I don't think they were involved with the accident, truth is they ARE an EVIL company for sure! You don't get to be the CEO of that company and be a good person IMO. The disgusting acts they have done in the past to cut corners that negatively effect our troops are staggering. Like many private military contractors, they wrap themselves in the flag and prey upon our troops. They don't give a damn about our troops, they are heartless mercenaries.

I still think you are glossing over the fact the Tea Party concept is not made up of by the majority of racist Neo-Cons, Gene. While every man can have his opinion, I can say mine is based on personal involvement on the topic and not of reading various news publications online that support my ideology.
