For the Mayans to return that would mean that they would have left; they're still here, living happily on the Yucatan Peninsula. I actually met a few on my Honeymoon - I even have video evidence.
Don't worry about 2012. I'm more worried about 2015, when we catch up to Back to the Future II and we still don't have flying cars and hover boards. That movie will seem absolutely bizarre to my daughter when she's old enough to see it.

Nearly 25 years ago I spoke to someone who came across a medium who reckoned they had a spirit guide. When they asked them about the end of the world the got three numbers in this order as a response. 19 17 23

Didn't make much sense then and is still just as obscure now.

However, the crux of the problem is usury (interest). What is not logical is a debt based monetary system where far more money is owed to the banks than is in circulation.
