Potential Guest: Ray Stanford

Free episodes:

Ray has been saying for years, he has got evidence of ufos in thousands of photo's and some film. I can't see why in those years, we the public have'nt seen them.I personally, find it very weird indeed.
I can't say for sure, if Ray is gone of the deep end, i guess his friends now him best if that is the case.
I never heard of Ray Stanford, until i heard the paracast interview and i say that goes for many others who listen to the paracast, or come on the forums to give there opinions on the paranormal.

Chris, says he is a friend of Ray. I Like to ask Chris a question, have you personally seen the evidence of ufos photographed and filmed by Ray? This could help

David has mentioned above that he will never reveal some of his other experiences. I find that a real pity but understandable, we do on the forums question alot of claims with difference's of opinion. I guess i am one of those, but i think over the years as a listener to the paracast i have grown to understand the topic more.
I think the parcast is the only show were crap rarely has an airing.

I think the topic is so complex and understanding is not likely to happen anytime soon. The ball is firmly held by the ufo occupants.

David other experiences are not going to please everybody so what,
If we dont get to hear everything on the subject, could will we ever fully understand the topic?

Their will always be people who call David out as a liar, they have set in there mind his lieing, well forget about them, what ever happened to asking questions before passing judgement.

Vaeni,i have doubts as to him being legit. I Think when you defend Bill Birnes and Whitley streiber as he does, questions must be asked. I did on the parcast forums and we had a debate which is a healthy thing. I disagree with him on a number of topics, but like i siad debate is a good thing as long as it is constructive

I listened to the tribute to Richard Hall on Vaeni show while writeing this post.
Jeff, in my opinion believe's Vaeni is an idiot go listen to the show. I Think Jeff Made a big mistake with doing a show with Vaeni.I believe Jeff will walk away from the show just a matter of time.

David, I know EXACTLY what you're talking about, in a slightly different way. Also, there are other issues involved in expressing your opinion when you don't have an anonymous internet persona, and people that may be able to find out where you live or your phone number, etc. I've had problems with this in the past. I have never posted anonymously, although I don't think I'd be very much different in my opinions and statements if I did.

Good point Greg:
Wimping out and hiding behind cute little pics and whitty names reminds me of junior high. I will NOT be responding to anyone that doesn't have the courage to ask me questions as a real person. I'm a busy guy and don't have time to waste. In the future, if any of you anonymous posters wish to ask me anything you'll have to do so as a real person. I will not be responding to any anonymous posts. Here is my email address: [email protected]

Actually, I am a real person who has some good reasons not to be associated with this stuff by name. If that somehow makes my questions invalid, then I guess it says more about the person refusing to reply than it says about me.

Exactly, most individuals on the forums are anonymous. Chris most people are'nt researchers or podcast hosts. If you worked in communitys were the topic is less believeable than santa claus would you be so open to comeing out. The topic can make you less credible amongest people you deal with socially and professionally . I perfectly understand why people on the forums dont print their names or produce a avatar of themselves.
Most people sit behind a computer in different countries, we dont all live in the same neighbourhood were we could meet and chat. This site help's us develop and expand our thinking on the topic withount fear of ridicule, plus if you find me asking you a perfectly honest question which i believe only take's a yes or no answer unreasonable, than i have lost all interest.

Interesting.
What I'm hearing is that you are fascinated by a subject that has the potential of harming you professionally and/or socially. So I guess y'all just be slumming around with dem low-status/low-class homies? I'm sorry, this is the 21st century and that rationale doesn't fly anymore. Pardon my bluntness but it is this attitude (and the fear associated with this professed low-status paranoia) that is one of the main reasons why this subject has no chance—zero—of ever being taken seriously by science and academia. You are either a part of the problem or a part of the solution.

Again. If you would like me to answer your questions, or if you would like to make an observation or have a suggestion, contact me at [email protected]

Dude, it's just a simple question. Did Ray show you any of his pictures?

As for our "fears," well, we're just not stupid, that's all. It is no secret that human resources types have gotten adept at using google. Most of us will not ever see a dime of profit from our time in this field, and risking our livelihoods is just idiotic.

This "I'm not anonymous" holier-than-thou shtick is an old dodge, and it's getting tiresome.

Sorry, Chris, I have to strongly disagree with you on this point - having my name associated with these topics has done quantifiable damage to my professional reputation and ability to get work, there's no doubt about it. I can totally understand why a lot of folks don't want to use their real names in forums like these, and while I often give some of them shit for going on the attack, hiding behind anonymity, I can't say I blame them. There's nothing I can do to change my situation, but then again, I'm a heavy experiencer, with a drive to understand what has happened to me. Folks who are looking in from the outside, well, there's no good reason for them to lay their reputations on the line simply to ask some questions. And for those who also have anomalous experiences and want to talk about them - their fear of ridicule is certainly not unreasonable. Is it sad and fucked that this is the case? Indeed, but it's also not right that the untalented, talentless, moronic dipshit announcer from American Idle is going to make more money, in three years, than you & I will earn in our entire lifetimes. Reality is an unfair, unbalanced shitfest.

Ok fine—everybody hide behind their anonymous selves.
In science, if you remember, you don't present to the media your evidence until it is peer-reviewed. YES Ray showed me dozens and dozens of frames from his films, photographs, and has shared much of his data, analysis and thinking. I videotaped his four hour invitation-only presentation Nov 2007 and have transcribed his ufological life-story into a manuscript. As for the rest of yours and others' questions, I'll let Ray decide when and what to divulge—its his work.

Thanks, Chris. Your opinion carries considerable weight, and knowing that you have seen the photos in question makes a big difference.

This is only one of many frustrating aspects of the whole paranormal field. Given my druthers, I would not be anonymous, but sometimes reality bites. It's not even fair to blame the HR people I mentioned. If you are an efficient worker, and you have three strong applicants and one position to fill, you will look for something, anything, to help you decide. "Oh, look, this guy's a UFO nut. Fifteen hundred posts on this one forum. It's a safe bet that some of them were made at work. Cool. One down, one to go." In my personal situation, I'd love to write some scathing letters to local editors, but that would do my career approximately as much good as, say, a half-naked fully drunk photo from an office party on someone's Facebook page. Yes, I feel somewhat stifled, but even if I said oh the hell with it and vented all over the place, I would just be replaced by someone more... obedient.

After going through all these posts, and considering that Chris O'Brien (who seemed like a reasonable guy) respects Stanford .... I'm just confused. Just going to wait until he's on the show, and reserve judgement until then.

Hello all! I'm new here and am a good friends with Ray Stanford. He, in my opinion, is one of the most interesting and observant people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Very complex and a truly remarkable human individual!

TerraX, always nice seeing you in these forums.

I'm listening to some of the Stanford interview with Ray right now, fairly odd stuff. Who knows what the deal is? I'll try to arrange a visit and see what's up with this fellow.

DB, any movement on the Ray Stanford meeting, interview, viewing of his material, etc...?

I, for one, would really want to see this issue resolved. And yes, I know that is easy for me to say when you are having to do the footwork. ::)

Still, very interesting in seeing this one through.

Thanks!

bobheck,

I've been speaking with Ray on the phone, and I find him to be a fascinating and intelligent fellow. I was hoping to visit him this month, but a major lifestyle issue has arisen which is going to distract me for August, so my visit will have to wait until September, most likely, but I think it will indeed happen. I find that Ray & I seem to agree on a large number of issues, but I'm not getting into some of the more contentious stuff until I have a chance to meet with him face to face. He sent me his book on Socorro, which is quite good, but again, I haven't had a chance to completely dive into it.

Dave, you might have mentioned this on the show since your post. But, did you ever see the stuff from Ray and get to the bottom of all of his claims?

1. Does he claim to have built a "Hilarion Accelerator"?

2. Is he indeed the Ray Stanford associated with the Association for the Understanding of Man that did all the 'channeling' stuff?

3. Does he still claim to have cured a man of epilepsy and a woman from cancer? If so, where are the clinical before and after diagnoses?

4. Did he provide you with the photos, videos and recordings he claimed to have had?

Sorry, but my personal BS detector just went through the roof with this guy. Believing that he can cure one of cancer and epliepsy, and that he built a "Hiliarion Accelerator" requires more than a self-serving proclamation for me.

Thanks!
Bob
