I'm a little late to the discussion, but it seems to me that if you locate yourself in the climate change denialist camp then every other complex topic you wish to comment on--vaccines for example--is deeply suspect.
The denialist position on climate change basically requires either belief in a highly improbabe conspiracy involving scientists around the world, universities, academic journals, academies of science, government and professional bodies, journalists, graduate students, etc., or the belief in a wildly improbable assumption--which is that people smarter and more informed than the denialist are nevertheless blind to some basic errors that only the denialist understands. Both dubious beliefs could be at work in the denialist imagination.
