Oh pixel, you still are so narrow minded on this topic, saying stupid things like "hold your breath to save the planet." HOw's about you inhale on an SUV exhaust pipe? Silly, right? We all drive, we all breath... That's not the problem. It's the fact that we know our burning of fossil fuels is having an effect on the planet's climate. We still have a chance to change things by moving towards cleaner energy. I agree with you that we can't completely change the way the economy works to achieve this, and that carbon credits are silly. However, we need to do something about changing our habits - is it doom and gloom? Not yet. But is global warming a scam? Not even close. Stop being on the extreme end of this argument - things actually make sense here in the middle.

geezus... once again for the canadian.. global warming is not a scam. Claims of CATASTROPHIC Anthropogenic Global Warming due to human contributions of CO2 is the scam. Global warming, global cooling, climate change, ice ages are all normal to this planet.

I am probably on board with nearly everything you are except the hoax that human generated CO2 is causing CAGW, climate change, ice ages, polar bears to drown, penguins to fly or whatever such nonsense.
Steam, geo-thermal and electromagnetic propulsion are ALL within our grasp right now.

Oh yeah - that site seems to be unbiased...
 
I have also read that other planets are also warming and little is known about why. Some say it had to do with solar radiation increases. However, Charles Long, a climate physicist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratories in Washington published a paper describing a 30 year dimming effect. Apparently from 1960-1990 the amount of solar radiation that hit the Earths surface decreased 4-6% from previous years. Since 1990 this has reversed and more radiation is hitting the surface. I have yet to read a good explanation why planets like Mars, Venus, and Saturn (even poor downgraded Pluto) are warming and others are not. I think we need to explore this track a lot further before pinning the Global Warming tail on the Human action donkey.

Once AGAIN for the narrow minded non skeptical canadian... No one in my "camp" is denying climate change, global warming, global cooling, ice ages, growing and shrinking of the ice caps, nasty pollution of rivers, ocean or air. ​

A normal 70 degrees today in Minnesota. The forecast is saying 3-6+ inches of fluffy white global warming and temps on wednesday as high as 30 degrees. Global warming happy fun time!
