Skeptic does not mean to deny everything regardless of the evidence...
There's way more evidence of climate change than there is for extra-terrestrials visiting the Earth, yet there are people that think the one with less evidence (aliens) is actually happening.
 
Angelo... ONCE AGAIN... no one is disputing climate change happens or will happen again. It WILL happen with or without any life forms on earth.
 
Being a skeptic means you are skeptical not a denier. I was an "alarmist" about global warming like yourself and my skeptical nature caused me to look at the data. The data indicated there was no reason to believe human generated CO2 was causing catastrophic global warming. It has not warmed globally for 16 years yet CO2 is climbing. Don't forget that about 97% of CO2 is natural. If you want to demonize something for emitting CO2 then you will have to demonize the planet, not humans.

Detailed analysis shows that only 0.5% (65 of the 12,000 abstracts rated) suggest that humans are responsible for more than 50% of the global warming up to 2001, contrary to the alleged 97% consensus amongst scientists in the Cook et al study. Citing fear mongering and faulty methodology Friends of Science reject the study and President Obama’s tweet as careless incitement of a misinformed and frightened public, when in fact the sun is the main driver of climate change; not human activity or carbon dioxide (CO2).

The fraud perpetrated by Angelo's science experts and authorities of the IPCC continues to be exposed. I find it odd they and Angelo continue to blather on and on about global warming when by the IPCC chairmans own admission it has not globally warmed in over 16 years and if you want to believe ACTUAL DATA the RSS satellite data sets show it has been 23 years since any warming.

MANY of Angelo's own "bought and paid for scientists" and even the leader of his climate CONsensus of scientists are jumping off the global warming ship. They have now realized that a 3% human contribution of CO2 will not cause catastrophic global warming, cooling, climate change or any other such nonsense. The politicians that PAID for those conclusions are now desperately trying to save the ship and their credibility. Yet Angelo and many others continue to ignore actual data and subscribe to the ideology and made up science of con men.
 
He believes in computer models for sure.. man made, man programmed, man manipulated models that are programmed over and over with different data manipulations to achieve a desired output. Otto has even figured out their models are wrong and it is not warming as they expected. lol.. but it just HAS to be because of humans! lmao!
 
Even your leader Pachauri just said that the recent tornados can not be scientifically linked to human caused climate change.. I am not sure what to think of that.. He has been under such ridicule for the past 12 years maybe he is just now actually looking at the observed data.


Rajendra Pachauri, head of the UN-backed Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, said data was still coming in about Monday's massive tornado which tore through a suburb of Oklahoma City, killing at least 24 people.
"Could there be better preparedness in general? Yes. What could better preparedness have been? Well it's very difficult to say at this stage," Pachauri told reporters in Geneva.
"But one really cannot relate an event of this nature to human-induced climate change. It's just not possible. Scientifically, that's not valid," he said.

It is plain to see that Angelo's team of "scientists" do not actually know if humans are causing global warming, cooling, climate change, global climate disruption.​

The really sad thing here is that even tho Angelo, his favored scientists and others keep blathering on and on about human generated CO2 causing catastrophic global warming not one of them has stepped up and offered to stop their OWN CO2 emissions.​

Almost all 'heating' radiation generated by sun is blocked from entering lower atmosphere by CO2

According to the data, up to 95 percent of solar radiation is literally bounced back into space by both CO2 and NO in the upper atmosphere. Without these necessary elements, in other words, the earth would be capable of absorbing potentially devastating amounts of solar energy that would truly melt the polar ice caps and destroy the planet.

"The shock revelation starkly contradicts the core proposition of the so-called greenhouse gas theory which claims that more CO2 means more warming for our planet," write H. Schreuder and J. O'Sullivan for PSI. "[T]his compelling new NASA data disproves that notion and is a huge embarrassment for NASA's chief climatologist, Dr. James Hansen and his team over at NASA's GISS."

Dr. Hansen, of course, is an outspoken global warming activist who helped spark man-made climate change hysteria in the U.S. back in 1988. Just after the release of the new SABER study, however, Dr. Hansen conveniently retired from his career as a climatologist at NASA, and reportedly now plans to spend his time "on science," and on "drawing attention to [its] implications for young people."

UN climate delegates unaware global warming stopped 16 years ago. Talk about "deer in the headlights" looks...
 
I haven't been back to this thread in a while but it seems Iike it's still stuck where I last stopped reading it with selected scientist vs. selected scientist. I find all the rhetorical dances along this line to be a little boring as we can all find a scientist to say whatever we want them to especially since the tea party funders have been sinking millions into any agency, scientist or mouthpiece that will go on the record to proclaim that global warming is bogus. That doesn't really leave much to trust by way of debate.

I just finished watching Chasing Ice about the Extreme Ice Survey featuring photographer extreme James Balog. His work on the natural world is pretty stunning. I think there's a different perspective on the climate change debate to be had when we do start to look historically at the planet through the record of glacial retreat. I encourage everyone interested in either side of the debate to watch this movie. The visuals are stunning and you can't help but get captivated by this one man's journey to bring home the truth of climate change.
