From the sunni pov shia's are idolators thus are sinners, thus must be killed in accordance with the koran.
The sunnis say only allah and Mohammad are worthy of worship, the shia's on the other hand revere their holy men, much as catholics do the pope and the saints.
The sunnis consider this a sin punishable by death, as prescribed by the koran
