The criticism of Islam on this one single fact alone is justified, but you know there are plenty of other criticisms, the subjugation of women, genital mutilation the list goes on and on.


The punishment for apostasy from Islam is a controversial topic for Muslims living in the West and for ex-Muslims everywhere. That’s because Islam teaches that apostates are to be killed. We know from historic Islamic documents that during Muhammad's lifetime, and the lifetimes of the next four "Rightly Guided Caliphs", tens of thousands of Muslims left the faith of Islam and thousands were killed. On a large scale the Muslims made war on groups that chose to leave Islam and massacres of apostates occurred. On a smaller scale individual apostates were executed. This death sentence is in effect whether or not the apostasy occurred in or out of the Islamic state.
Many Muslims living in Islamic countries have no problem with the rule of putting apostates to death. The examples of Robert Hussein[1] of Kuwait, Abdul Rahman[2] of Afghanistan, and Bahaa el-Din Ahmed Hussein el-Akkad[3] of Egypt come to mind. These ugly Muslim governments are succored by the West’s finances and blood while they impose an imperial and brutal religion upon its citizens.


That you can apoligise and make excuses for this abhorent ideaology and its practises, when people are being beheaded right now in accordance with its brutal and barbaric doctrines is obscene

In London last week, two Muslim men shouting jihad’s ancient war-cry, “Allahu Akbar” beheaded a British soldier with a cleaver—in a busy intersection and in broad daylight. They boasted of their crime in front of passersby and asked to be videotaped.
As surreal as this event may seem, Islamic beheadings are not uncommon in the West, including the U.S.
In 2011, a Pakistani-American who helped develop “Bridges TV”—a station “designed to counter negative stereotypes of Muslims”—beheaded his wife.
In Germany in 2012, another Muslim man beheaded his wife in front of their six children—again while hollering “Allahu Akbar.”
Once extremists become the majority, the violence ironically wanes, but that’s because there are fewer infidels to persecute.
Beheading non-Muslim “infidels” in the Islamic world is especially commonplace:
In Yemen a “sorceress” was beheaded by the “Supporters of Sharia”;
In Indonesia, three Christian girls on their way to school were beheaded; in Syria last Christmas, U.S.-supported rebels beheaded a Christian man and fed his body to the dogs;

Most recently, a disturbing video surfaced from “liberated” Libya of a machete-wielding masked man hacking at the head of a captive—again, to cries of “Allahu Akbar!”
But the greater lesson of the London beheading concerns its audacity—done in broad daylight with the attackers boasting in front of cameras, as often happens in the Islamic world.
It reflects what I call “Islam’s Rule of Numbers,” a rule that expresses itself with remarkable consistency: The more Muslims grow in numbers, the more Islamic phenomena intrinsic to the Muslim world—in this case, brazen violence against “infidels”—appear.

What follows is a harrowing series of photographs of Islamic militants publicly executing, by decapitation, a young Syrian in the town of Keferghan, near Aleppo, on August 31, 2013.
Because of the danger in reporting inside Syria, it was not possible to confirm the identity or political affiliation of the victim. Nor are we certain about the motivation of his killers. One eyewitness who lives in the area and was contacted by TIME a week after the beheadings said that the executioners were from ISIS, an Al-Qaeda franchise operating in Syria and Iraq.
TIME obtained the images exclusively from a photographer who was recently in Syria. This decapitation was the last of four executions he documented that day. TIME has agreed not to publish the photographer’s name, to protect him from repercussions when he returns to Syria. What follows is an edited account of his experience:
The man was brought in to the square. His eyes were blindfolded. I began shooting pictures, one after the other. It was to be the fourth execution that day I would photograph. I was feeling awful; several times I had been on the verge of throwing up. But I kept it under control because as a journalist I knew I had to document this, as I had the three previous beheadings I had photographed that day, in three other locations outside Aleppo.
The crowd began cheering. Everyone was happy. I knew that if I tried to intervene I would be taken away, and that the executions would go ahead. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to change what was happening and I might put myself in danger.
I saw a scene of utter cruelty: a human being treated in a way that no human being should ever be treated. But it seems to me that in two and a half years, the war has degraded people’s humanity. On this day the people at the execution had no control over their feelings, their desires, their anger. It was impossible to stop them.
I don’t know how old the victim was but he was young. He was forced to his knees. The rebels around him read out his crimes from a sheet of paper. They stood around him. The young man was on his knees on the ground, his hands tied. He seemed frozen.
Two rebels whispered something into his ear and the young man replied in an innocent and sad manner, but I couldn’t understand what he said because I don’t speak Arabic.
At the moment of execution the rebels grasped his throat. The young man put up a struggle. Three or four rebels pinned him down. The man tried to protect his throat with his hands, which were still tied together. He tried to resist but they were stronger than he was and they cut his throat. They raised his head into the air. People waved their guns and cheered. Everyone was happy that the execution had gone ahead.
That scene in Syria, that moment, was like a scene from the Middle Ages, the kind of thing you read about in history books. The war in Syria has reached the point where a person can be mercilessly killed in front of hundreds of people—who enjoy the spectacle.

Ive already posted youtube clips proving Hamas does use human shields, that it does direct Palesintians to stay in buildings that the israelies have said will be bombed in a few hours.

I see nothing in this thread that anti-jew- rather, anti Israeli State's policy regarding the Gaza Strip. I agree the exteam elements of Islam, and those who murder and torture in the name of religion- are barbaric. It is impossible for the state of Israel to single out those individuals, but to bomb civilian population centers and such, is not the answer imo. While Hamas may not want peace, I bet the vast majority of Gaza does. No easy answers, that for sure.

As was the discussion many, many pages ago on this thread, the root issue is the creation of a religious state (Israel) on land that the people resident there did not agree to have become that state. It was an ill-conceived 'solution' to assuage Europe's guilt after WWII. We are left with the consequences. It's time we re-think this.

It's the US that has to draw the line and cease the funding - with cooperation from Qatar who funds the other side. We need UN troops in Gaza. Maybe in Israel, too. What land would that be? Why do the Palestinians have Arab names and follow Islam? If they're Arab, they're not the original inhabitants of the land either, and if they're descended from the original inhabitants, their culture has been destroyed and usurped by the ARAB occupation.
The original inhabitants did not speak Arabic and did not follow Islam, so why aren't you agitating for the rights of the Palestinians to return to their original pre-Arab, pre-Islamic culture? They've been OCCUPIED by Arab culture for 1,000 years now - that's a much longer occupation and much greater injustice. At least the Israelis aren't forcing them to speak Hebrew and follow Judaism.
