seriously living with an impending nightmare scenario, which seems to cause a measure of distress for you is not a healthy way to live a life.
i dont want to seem rude, but one might surmise you could be a real pest at Thanksgiving get togethers.
there are any number of govt projects that could be directly dangerous to you, flying nukes accross the country by mistake, mailing warhead triggers to taiwan, the list goes on. and on.
like Nukes the govt has spent big money on these camps for reasons of national security, they are not going to go away just because they freak you out.

I think he knows he has a captive, gullible audience, and enjoys our responses. He may even be unhappy with US foreign policy and may get some satisfaction from trying to introduce some paranoia into some of our more gullible citizens.
He doesn't seem to believe it himself, at least he hasn't identified anything that is not just U.S. government business-as-usual.

Well, my opinion is that we should determine why such camps would be used. On the web, I've found various reasons. I have my own also, which I will state here.
Why is FEMA building all these concentration camps?
1. If the nefarious gay agenda takes over, the camps will house everyone who does NOT exhibit good taste (Just kidding. Some of my best friends have great taste).
2. If the nefarious New World Order (run by the anti-Christ) takes over, all Christians who refuse the mark (hickey?) of the Beast (Paris Hilton?) will be sent to the camps.
3. If the nefarious North American Union becomes reality, people who do not melt into the larger pot sufficiently will be sent to the camps. This would start with Canadians who refuse to stop saying "aye" after each question, e.g., "It sure is a nice day, aye?" "Do you want fries with your burger, aye?" "What Hath God Wrought, aye?"
4. If the nefarious Christian Right Wing takes over, everyone else will be in the camps, although it would soon become obvious that it would be more cost effective for the CRW to just go into the camps (more of "us" than them).
5. If nefarious WalMart takes over, employees of all other discount big box stores (e.g., Target, K-Mart) will be sent to the camps. These camps will have Chinese guards.
Now, I have a few of my own suggestion for who to send to such camps:
1. Aging hippies in 60's Volkswagon vans driving only 40 miles an hour on Highway 1 along the California Coast.
2. Authors like Ken Wilber who say that boomers have "boomeritis". How rude! We are the center of the universe because we are.
3. People who say "Ya know what I'm say'in?" after each sentence. "I'm from Des Moines. Ya know what I'm say'in?"
4. People who own basset hounds and let them howl in the backyard all day, beginning at 6:00 a.m.
5. AMERICAN IDOL losers. I just don't trust them. I think they are forming terrorist cells in our major cities. Bitterness is the devil's open door.
I think the FEMA camps could become very useful. Frankly, if they were landscaped really nicely with sort of a Zen/Japanese garden approach with nice wandering streams and wind chimes, and lovely accomodations, I think the concentration camps could be wonderful places to concentrate and contemplate your navel.

the simple answer to the question (my theory of the hubbardites aside) is they are to accomodate people.
looking at FEMA and the public reaction to its role in katrina, its possible they are to accomodate displaced populations .
in saw a TV doco on a prison caught in the katrina situation and the results were less than optimum, esp for a country like the USA. the guards either state/civilian or contractors locked the doors and fled with their familys.
in light of the failures we saw in that situation trains with leg irons makes perfect sense. you need a better choice than leaving them to fend for themselfs in a prison that had flooded to the 1st story or letting them out. and thats the convivted criminals
look at the lawlessness we had inside one of the stadiums used as a mass emergeny shelter, what a fiasco.
children and bodies under the same roof, the occupants having to band together and to avoid those who decided it was a good time to rape and pillage........
if the USA has now enacted plans to correct the failures we saw during katrina good on them. the need to move masses of people to secure emergency shelter where law and order are maintained is a positive plan. and beats the heck out of what we saw during and after katrina.

But that is no fun in a thread of this lineage!
What people want is nefarious reasons, and to let your imagination do your talking. I think my attempts at humor are just too simple-minded for this crowd (maybe "lame"?). Or else folks here are so serious and literal minded (like a lot of software engineers I know) that no one realizes I'm kidding, so they have no idea how to respond but with the obvious truth.
It reminds me of the time my Uncle was trying to kid around with my brother and me. He took a fresh carrot and pretended to smoke it. My totally literal brother said "You can't smoke a carrot! Why would you pretend to do that? It makes no sense." My poor Uncle realized he was playing to the wrong crowd, and felt pretty stupid. Poor guy.
OK, what other mystery can we solve with a little common sense? Crop Circles? Are they beam technology from military satelites, alien cryptic messages, the secret language of cows, or the artistic output of college engineering students?

a freind of mine tells the story of traveling thru china when a remote border guard during a baggage search, decided her tampons were cigarettes.... explainations and accusations in broken english, "you lie, its cigarette". finally getting nowhere, she gave in and admitted they were cigarettes, and invited the guard to smoke one which he did, promptly becoming very ill.

So what does this mean for all of us who believe in the Supreme Creator/God and Jesus Christ? What will become of all of us when these people truly gain control of our entire country?
They are using the "security" factor to get us all to let them try and keep more on more tabs on the people here almost as if they are trying to eventually reach a point where we will all need ID cards that the government has for all of us to travel from place to place, so that they have our information and so that when their "Master Plan" or "Global Agenda" is put in place, they can find us when they need to.
Why in the world would the Illuminati/Satanists want to allow people who believe in God (at least for the next few years why they will still be in power) to roam free and continue to practice our beliefs?
What will they do to try and stop us all while they still have a chance?
There is obvious reason to believe that Satanists and the Illuminati do not want people who believe in the One True Supreme Creator - God - to be around on this planet for too much longer.
